Fantastic relaxing vacation

Made it home from beautiful Mexico, it was a wonderful week! It was raining slightly on our way from the airport to our resort and then was done by the time we got to the resort. Then the rest of the week was perfect weather!
View from our beach chairs
Food was pretty good at the reservation restaurants. This ice bowl that my gazpacho was served in was so fun!

Missy was a great sport as I continually said "I want to stop and take a picture" Imagine that....I ended up with 200 pictures.

So when we first got to our room it was HOT and stuffy in the room. So I called the concierge and said the AC wasn't working. Then we realized none of the lights would turn on. So called the concierge back and said nothing was working. "Well do you have your key in the slot by the door? You have to have it in there for the lights and AC to run." Well of course, why didn't we think of that. Who has ever seen that before!? We still went one night with the AC not working but finally got it fixed.

Our biggest decision of the week "Beach or pool?"

This was after our first full day....we spent about 7 hours in the sun. We went to the room and both took showers, got dressed, did our hair and makeup, then crawled in bed and took a nap-fully clothed and made up. The sun apparently wiped us out because next thing we know we woke up at 9:20pm and realized we slept through most of dinner! Dinner was done at 10 so we hurried down to the buffet.

Maybe it was because we were still waking up but nothing looked good so we ended up with this for dinner.

Before dinner the next night....we took a nap pretty much every day but didn't sleep through dinner this time!

Margaritas with every meal
and they were tasty!

The Mexican restaurant where we had yummy chicken fajitas.

and fantastic tortilla soup
Of course we said yes when the waiter asked if we wanted a picture with sombrero's!

The beach was fantastic and water was crystal clear

Since I took 200 pictures this is obviously just a few! But it was a great time. We watched other people work out doing water aerobics while we sipped our drinks, we relaxed, read books, took daily naps, had daily margaritas, lounged in the sun by palm trees on the beach and by the pool. Oh and got our pictures taken with monkeys who we like to call Ross and Jezzebelle who were stinkin adorable and made me giggle the whole time I held them. Doesn't get much better.

Vacay to-do's

Ah, finally vacation time! As I was packing and pulled out my suitcase I realized that at some point it must have gotten wet or something....but it was gross and smelled bad. So off to Kohl's I went to get a new suitcase.
I also found this cute trench coat. I couldn't pass it up for under $30.
Pre-vacay to-do's filled my weekend. Cleaning house-check.

Last chance beach ready Body Pump workout Saturday morning-check.

Beach ready toes-check. The polish is called Cozu-melted in the sun. Kind of hard to see but it's a shimmery peachy/gold.
Being told my big toenail will probably fall off by Christmas-check? Apparently my black toenail will be falling off because I have another toenail already coming in behind it. Ick. The fun side effects of running I guess?

Last minute cuddles with the dog-check.

Spending 30 minutes debating how many shoes to take and which ones-check. I narrowed it down to 4 pairs and 3 flip flops. Yeah probably overboard but you know.

Bag finally packed!

The final load. Suitcase, carry on beach bag, and purse. Do you see the little carry on in the back ground trying to sneak in a bag?

She thought she could blend in but I spotted her.
Sad goodbye from Caylea-er, check. See you in a week peeps!

Countdown

The countdown to Mexico is on! 7 days, woohoo!

As usual I had to get Jazzie a costume even though she hates it every year. :)

This year wasn't so much a costume as a dress with a ghost on it. Poor dog.
She was not happy. This weekend went by fast. The new Body Pump and Combat releases were awesome and I'm still sore. Cleaned the house yesterday in anticipation of vacation. Ready for some relaxing!

My addictions

I looked forward all day to Body Pump. I think it's safe to say it has become an addiction. I've been looking forward to this upcoming weekend for awhile because there is a new release, can't wait to try out the new tracks! My favorite tracks are biceps and squats. Love them.

It's been awhile since I bought shoes but recently I caught up with a few new purchases. :)

I can see a possible addiction to airbrush tanning in my future too. I tried it out on Friday and was pleasantly surprised. Aside from the initial awkwardness of the hot chick with the perfect, perky girls spraying down my less than perfect white rear along with the first 24 hours of oompa-loompa likeness it is great! No UVA rays and an even golden-ness in only 15 minutes!

Challenging myself to be a better me

After not running for a couple weeks due to being out of town for work and sick I knew I had to get back out there today. I created a new playlist and was ready to go for it. It is hard for me to remember that I'm not going to be able to go out and run 5 miles like it's nothing. So I just kept telling myself to challenge myself to just keep getting better and keep at it. Even if it's hard at first. It will get better.
Went to Target today and had a lot of coupons. After my coupons the Glade items above totaled .43 cents for all 3. Yay! :)
Half marathon training is going to require me to find more strength than I know I have, face my fears head on and go the distance. I got this.
