Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween! Jasmine, aka, Bumblebee here. I've hijacked the blog. Don't tell mom. She put me in this ridiculous costume. I guess Caylea is too old for costumes but it doesn't matter what age I am, costumes look "cute" on me. Despite my protests of howls and barks as soon as I see that costume coming at me somehow it ends up on me anyways. Magnus always gets out of it because he eats so much they don't make costumes in his size. So he just sits back and watches as I go through the annual humiliation that is Halloween. I don't even get any candy out of the deal.

I mean honestly.

So after my costume was on I ran up to Magnus and pretended to sting him. See the look of terror in his eyes? He proceeded to chase me around the yard. I didn't mind that though because I was hoping running in circles would magically make this outfit fall off. No such luck. Meanwhile mom is off to the side laughing. Apparently running around in this bee get up is quite amusing.
Caylea was a smart girl, she went upstairs to take a shower and said she wanted no part in the torture of putting me through this. Therefore she gets a pass. Mom, however, is in for trouble. This is my "I'm going to chew your favorite pair of shoes when you aren't looking" stare. Be scared mom, be very scared.

Cruise part 2

We departed for our trip from Puerto Rico. We spent the night prior to leaving so we had a little time to explore Puerto Rico. Here is a picture of our amazing view from our room!

Crazy narrow streets. If I lived here I'd have to have a car with the auto parallel parking feature, I don't know how people did it.

Colorful buildings

Our first port was St. Thomas. Here is Jona and me with a donkey who apparently was named Monica Lewinksy.

Magen's Bay Beach-Beautiful

Beautiful water in St. Thomas. In St. Thomas we went to Magen's Bay for some relaxing on the beach and did a little shopping. Jewelry is big in St. Thomas. The locals really liked to try to convince you to go into the jewelry stores and if it wasn't that they were trying to get you to take a taxi ride.

Wednesday was our port in Barbados. I don't have many pictures because most of our pictures were taken with Lisa's waterproof camera. Barbados was a lot of fun. We took a catamaran ride and snorkeled with sea turtles.

Next up was St. Lucia. This was an incredibly beautiful island.

We did an all day island tour and stopped at a banana plantation.

Cute baby bananas! We all had a banana and they were the most amazing bananas we had ever tasted!

We pulled up to a guy along the road with a snake and some guy in our tour group offered to pay for it if I held it. So something came over me and I did it. Nobody would get out of the van to take my picture so here is my pic taken from the van! :) There in the pic is also our tour guide who was a lot of fun. I got to be the co-pilot and ride in the passenger seat. Which was probably good since it was a lot of twisty, curvy roads. Not sure my stomach could've handled that in the back of the van.

A picture stop with a little rum punch

The Pitons

A rock shaped like a high heel!

We went to an active volcano. This is the sulphur spring, it smelled so AWFUL. Made my stomach roll.

So many pretty things to take pictures of on this island.

The beach in St. Lucia was a little rocky. So we all agreed the island didn't have the best beach but was very beautiful. We had a great time. And I discovered a side effect of the motion sickness patch is blurry vision. Good thing Lisa told me that after I started complaining my eyes were bothering me because by that time I couldn't read the side effect insert that came with the patch! :)

This weekend I worked a few hours yesterday then came home and was lazy. Watched Green Lantern with my future husband Ryan Reynolds in it. For some reason I'm having some major insomnia issues lately, so took some Advil PM and called it a night. Woke up today and cleaned the house which was a mess. Then made Jazzie a happy pup when I took her for a walk around the lake. Now just sitting here with a cup of white hot chocolate and thinking I am in the mood to hang out in my scrapbooking room...maybe I will go think up a fun project!

Gym celebrity

http://www.shape.com/weight-loss/success-stories/how-shape-reader-shyla-ray-lost-120-pounds?page=1

My Shape article is online now. Somehow my weight loss doubled on the online story though. :) Today I got recognized at the gym by a girl who is in my Body Pump classes...she asked me if that was me she saw in her magazine. So after she recognized me I felt a little more pressure to have good form in class! And can I just say that hitting the gym after a few weeks off has been painful! Thursday night was my first night back in awhile. Today I was still sore from Thursday but it felt good to get back into it. Tomorrow night I'm going to a P90X class with Laurie and Carol. That should be fun, looking forward to something a little different!

Cruise part 2 coming next!

Charlie's Angels part 1

I decided to break this up into two parts because of just how many photos I have from our trip. So it's kind of backwards since I started the photos from the end of the trip so the beginning would be at the top, until I realized I should probably do two posts.

Everywhere we went we were referred to as Charlie's Angels. So this became our Charlie's Angels cruise. :) We had great weather and saw some beautiful islands.

The ship

Dinner

Us with our new friend, she was so sweet and so pretty in her dresses.

I think this was my favorite thing I ate the whole time for dinner, black bean and veggie enchiladas. They were amazing!

Love towel animals!

We debated on what this was. Peacock I guess.

The mean looking towel animal-the scorpion. And the final night's towel animal gave us a good laugh but I did not take a picture because I really wasn't sure what it was and let's just say it looked inappropriate.

Friday in St. Kitts

We didn't do any excursion on St. Kitts. This trip only had one day at sea so we were ready to just kind of relax again and the excursions here were pretty pricey for what was involved. It was a nice relaxing day.

We just shopped at the port and found monkeys! Good thing they didn't have any teeth because they decided to see if Lisa and my fingers were tasty.

I love monkeys. After shopping we went back to the ship and enjoyed the pool and hot tub while it wasn't crowded. That night was the returning guest reception so we had to get ready a little earlier than usual so it worked out pretty well. (returning guest reception=free drinks=well worth getting ready earlier than usual)

Pretty sunset

Our amazing bartender Stan! He was awesome and fun, and from Bulgaria. And thanks to us he now knows what a pinky swear is.

Our drink table the night Thursday night. We managed to squeeze as many free drinks as we could out of the 45 minute reception then went straight to the lobby bar to see Stan.

Then later that same night it was time for the 80's sing along party. We rocked out to some Living on a Prayer. Oh yeah.

Our wonderful dinner waiter Heshbon, aka Hashbrown.

Jona and me with our cruise director Karl with a K and Donkey. Karl is the 5 footer. We didn't even have on heels that night.

Our last day of the trip was spent in St. Maarten/St. Martin. We learned some very interesting facts about the Dutch vs. French sides of the island. No drinking and driving on the French side but have at it on the Dutch side! There are no traffic lights on the island anywhere either.

First stop was feeding Iguanas! Oh yeah! There were dozens of them! And they LOVE them some bananas.

One crawling across my foot.

They like the peel and all...this one is eating out of my hand. Unlike the monkey I could feel this guy's teeth.

Big Daddy

Sea Urchin, I got to hold him too. I made no sudden movements holding this guy. I love my friends but really didn't want to have to have anyone pee on my hand if it stung me.

This water was shallow all the way out to that little island you can see. We walked about halfway out to it.

Orient Beach, very pretty, very soft sand, very wavy, and very nude on one side.

Sarafina's-a yummy little french bistro/open air cafe we stopped at for pastries and sandwiches. Yum. When we asked the woman behind the counter what something was all she said back was "And?"

Maho Beach. This is where the planes fly right at you and over your head. So cool. We were there for less than 30 minutes and were able to see 4 planes come in.

So cool

The "Danger Do Not Stand Jet Blast" warnings

"Jet blast of departing and arriving aircraft can cause severe physical harm resulting in extreme bodily harm and/or death"

Ship at port in St. Maarten

The views and water here were stunning. This was tied with St. Lucia for my favorite island. St. Maarten's beaches were much better than St. Lucia's. So in the next post I will cover the rest of our ports!
