Friday night went to Jose's house, Jason's friend from work. They have this new puppy, London, she is stinkin adorable. She was the highlight of my Friday night. I have a 3 day work week this week which is nice. But it's a busy 3 days. They created a new theft team at work and I put in for it and was chosen. So I start that next Monday. I'm excited, the manager I'll be working for rocks. And I have a really good team. I'll be handling only thefts, vandalism, and mysterious disappearance claims. I'm looking forward to a break from water losses and back up of sewer losses, they are a pain. So I'll get to focus on learning investigative skills and work closely with SIU which will be cool. Thursday Julie and I are going to Springfield, MO for a craft weekend. And I can't wait to meet my favorite scrapbook product designer (although she doesn't do that anymore) Elsie Flannigan. Her style is different and I'm totally psyched to get to go to her store and tour her studio. And Saturday is National Scrapbooking Day, hello good deals at the scrapbook store there! Can't wait! I'm hoping to come back with some cool projects completed. I'll be taking lots of pics. And I'm counting down the days until my girls visit in May with Missy and Laura!

Ups and downs
So my life is full of ups and downs lately. Friday night sucked. Saturday was alright and today was pretty good. I ran 4 miles today without stopping in a little under 40 mins, and I could actally breathe and actually didn't walk up the hills. So that was a big accomplishment for me. I'm really not sure how the heck I'm going to run in the summer, I guess early morning or late at night. It was in the 80's today and a few times I thought I may just have a heat stroke. My 5k is in 2 weeks and I think I'll be pretty prepared for it. I always have heard people say running is addicting and never understood it until now, it really is addicting. I guess it's the feeling of accomplishment and knowing how far I've come from where I started. I keep telling Julie that one day surely we will be thinking "Remember back when we thought a 5k was hard?" This is a pic of me and my friend Julie who talked me into this 5k deal. We had to work on Saturday and it was child seat safety day...we saw this tiger outside and hightailed it to the lobby so we could get a picture with him. Yes it was a slow day.
