Sexy, not sexy

Oh People magazine, you are so right....Ryan Reynolds is THE sexiest man alive. Possibly ever. Love him. So when I saw this cover staring at me in the store I was one happy gal.
I mean really? Really, is it normal to look this good?
What else is sexy? Rock stars who have been married for 21 years. Oh, like Jon....
In honor of Ryan's new title I had to watch The Proposal today. This movie makes me laugh SO hard.
Sexy-new leopard print shoes
Not sexy-(warning, graphic photo below) my big toenail being so close to falling off. It is not real comfortable to run right now I discovered today. I know, gross right!?
Not sexy-boxes cluttering up my kitchen cabinets
Sexy-getting organized. Courtesy of my Select-a-gift containers.
This weekend got to spend some quality girl time with some friends, got in a 3.5 mile run in this morning, and now need to study! That is if I can concentrate after visions of Ryan Reynolds dance in my head.

Productive

Oh yes, it has begun already. Chocolate. Covered. Cherries. Good thing I'm training for this 1/2 marathon since I've been known to eat my weight in these things.
Went for a 6.5 mile run today and didn't stop to walk at all except at the water fountains. I never usually make it that far much less without stopping to walk unless I have a friend there playing drill sargent. I'm not sure if it's that I've been doing strength training or just that the weather is cooler, but I felt great. I certainly haven't been running consistently enough lately to credit it with that. My breathing was great, my legs weren't heavy, I felt like I was in the zone. Of course since finishing and getting home I've felt like death. I was a little worried I was pushing it too far but I felt so good I didn't want to stop. My head is achy and I've felt like puking but hey, made it far without walking.
This weekend my excitement consisted of cleaning my carpets, woohoo!
So I rented a Rug Dr. from the store and went to town.
The living room before.
After moving out all the furniture
Put the couch and chairs in the kitchen. The dogs were confused.

Caylea made herself comfortable
And the after picture. Rearranged the furniture and I think it's a little more cozy now. It's nice to have the carpets done. It's been a pretty productive weekend.

Running shirt ideas?

So I've been thinking of ideas for a custom shirt for the 1/2 marathon next year. Seems like a lot of people have fun making shirts to wear. (and we know how we like our custom Bon Jovi t's and tanks right?) Anyone got any good ideas? Just playing around I came up with this. I was originally just thinking "I run like a girl" but thought the princess was a fun play on the princess marathon.

Back option 1
Back option 2
Back option 3 (too bare I think?)

I think I like the 13.1 on the back along with the date. Just not sure how I like the date format. I think I like option 1 the best. Maybe increase the font size a bit. Very rough planning phases. :) Training has become "official" in that I'm following a plan now. Surprisingly this first week I've felt really good and the thought that has gone through my head as I run has been "Maybe I can really pull this thing off." I have 16 weeks now to add on, oh, only about 10 more miles to my total miles ran.

Fantastic relaxing vacation

Made it home from beautiful Mexico, it was a wonderful week! It was raining slightly on our way from the airport to our resort and then was done by the time we got to the resort. Then the rest of the week was perfect weather!
View from our beach chairs
Food was pretty good at the reservation restaurants. This ice bowl that my gazpacho was served in was so fun!

Missy was a great sport as I continually said "I want to stop and take a picture" Imagine that....I ended up with 200 pictures.

So when we first got to our room it was HOT and stuffy in the room. So I called the concierge and said the AC wasn't working. Then we realized none of the lights would turn on. So called the concierge back and said nothing was working. "Well do you have your key in the slot by the door? You have to have it in there for the lights and AC to run." Well of course, why didn't we think of that. Who has ever seen that before!? We still went one night with the AC not working but finally got it fixed.

Our biggest decision of the week "Beach or pool?"

This was after our first full day....we spent about 7 hours in the sun. We went to the room and both took showers, got dressed, did our hair and makeup, then crawled in bed and took a nap-fully clothed and made up. The sun apparently wiped us out because next thing we know we woke up at 9:20pm and realized we slept through most of dinner! Dinner was done at 10 so we hurried down to the buffet.

Maybe it was because we were still waking up but nothing looked good so we ended up with this for dinner.

Before dinner the next night....we took a nap pretty much every day but didn't sleep through dinner this time!

Margaritas with every meal
and they were tasty!

The Mexican restaurant where we had yummy chicken fajitas.

and fantastic tortilla soup
Of course we said yes when the waiter asked if we wanted a picture with sombrero's!

The beach was fantastic and water was crystal clear

Since I took 200 pictures this is obviously just a few! But it was a great time. We watched other people work out doing water aerobics while we sipped our drinks, we relaxed, read books, took daily naps, had daily margaritas, lounged in the sun by palm trees on the beach and by the pool. Oh and got our pictures taken with monkeys who we like to call Ross and Jezzebelle who were stinkin adorable and made me giggle the whole time I held them. Doesn't get much better.

Vacay to-do's

Ah, finally vacation time! As I was packing and pulled out my suitcase I realized that at some point it must have gotten wet or something....but it was gross and smelled bad. So off to Kohl's I went to get a new suitcase.
I also found this cute trench coat. I couldn't pass it up for under $30.
Pre-vacay to-do's filled my weekend. Cleaning house-check.

Last chance beach ready Body Pump workout Saturday morning-check.

Beach ready toes-check. The polish is called Cozu-melted in the sun. Kind of hard to see but it's a shimmery peachy/gold.
Being told my big toenail will probably fall off by Christmas-check? Apparently my black toenail will be falling off because I have another toenail already coming in behind it. Ick. The fun side effects of running I guess?

Last minute cuddles with the dog-check.

Spending 30 minutes debating how many shoes to take and which ones-check. I narrowed it down to 4 pairs and 3 flip flops. Yeah probably overboard but you know.

Bag finally packed!

The final load. Suitcase, carry on beach bag, and purse. Do you see the little carry on in the back ground trying to sneak in a bag?

She thought she could blend in but I spotted her.
Sad goodbye from Caylea-er, check. See you in a week peeps!
